It's Halloween time!! Here at Sea Aira, we wanted to bring a little fang - I mean fun to the community! Keep reading for advice on eluding tricks, where to find re-animating treats, how to avoid ripping your shirt when transforming into a werewolf, and local events to haunt.

First, to address the food trucks: we are still waiting for a more significant resident response before planning a potential paid for or discounted community appreciation event with a local food vendor. Before we move on to other options, we'd like to offer more time to reach out to the office for anyone who is interested. Bad news for zombies, unfortunately; we couldn't find a truck that offers brains but we will keep looking. Good news for everyone else, your brains are safe.

On Friday, Oct 29th, the Sea Aira office staff will be facilitating games and prizes for kids and anyone else young at heart (ask me about my new cardiologist, Dr. Frankenstein). Swing on by between 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm to howl at the moon (ages +2), decorate a balloon pumpkin (ages +5), or play candy corn minute-to-win-it for a special prize (ages +8). Costume not required and sensory-safe appointments for the festivities can be made for Thursday the 28th - please call ahead.

Tips for Trick'r Treaters: Be seen by drivers in the dark with reflective tape, flashlights, or glow sticks. Test makeup and face paint before the big day for reactions. Plan a route as well as a meeting place and time for mature children who don't need adult supervision. Wait to eat candy until an adult has checked the bag.

If You Want To Hand Out Candy, be sure to have your porch light on or well-lit house and easy access to your front door. If you don't want to be disturbed, it's recommended to turn off your porch lights.

There's plenty to do in Huntington Beach this October beginning with the Great Pacific Airshow Oct 1st - 3rd featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. Free to attend, our beloved airshow has a big foot print and can be seen in full from main street and any of the city beaches. No skeletons expected to be seen flying this year; they didn't have the guts...

Did you know there's a hauted house in our city that's been voted one of American's scariest attractions? This season Hauntington Beach Manor is going big at the Westminster Mall with this year's theme 'Sanitarium' beginning Oct 1st and all month long. Scream your face off for charity: admission is only $5 or $10 with a VIP pass. For FAQ's, calendars, and more, visit: https://hauntingtonbeachmanor.com.

Also, our animal companions can also get in on the fun: at Five Points Plaza, HB Kahoot's Pets Supply is hosting a fun and free to attend Howl-O-Ween event Sunday Oct. 24th. There will be an all-pets-welcome costume contest, games, food, and more! "But what about my Corgi?" you might ask, to which I would respond "you're in luck!" Corgi Beach day is the day of Halloween Oct 31st where all dogs invited to Huntington Dog Beach for photo-ops, contests, and a total spooky beach day. Last year counted over 1,200 Corgis! Bow-WOW!

Looks like we ran out of room for our werewolf wardrobe points - I hope that doesn't cause fur concern! Whether you go out or stay home cuddling your Boo, be safe and have a very happy Halloween!!
