Beginning Watercolor Class - Tuesdays

The Naples Art Association (www.NaplesArt.org) - a non-profit organization whose mission is to expand cultural opportunities, broaden education, and enrich Southwest Florida through the visual arts – will host Beginning Watercolor, a four-week class. Starting with Basics is the perfect introduction to painting and arting! In this class you learn the basics of: color (as you experience the excitement in complementary colors, the unifying power of analogous colors, the chromatic richness of neutrals), composition (how to plan for expression and create a center of interest); perspective (both linear and aerial--and how to use them); form (how patterns of light and shadow lead to 3-D effects); brush strokes (from flat and variegated washes to dancing with your brushes); techniques (from wet-into-wet to spattering, pouring, spraying, stenciling, scrubbing). Each week your paintings are the focus of a nurturing critique and the means for you to explore your creativity. Instructor Genie Kell.

The Naples Art Association will host Beginning Watercolor Class with Instructor Genie Kell. The class will start on October 11, 2016 and run for four Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The cost is $140 for members and $190 for non-members.
