The Balboa Island Ferry

The Balboa Island Ferry has been transporting passengers between Balboa Island and Balboa Peninsula since 1919. This historic and scenic trip is a great way to quickly get across the harbor and enjoy the beautiful scenery at the same time. You can ride the ferry on foot, bicycle or in your vehicle.

  • $1 Adult Passenger
  • $.50 Child Passenger (ages 5-11)
  • FREE Children under 5
  • $2 Car & driver (passengers are extra)
  • $1.25 Bicycle & Adult
  • $0.75 Bicycle & Child

Sunday- Thursday

6:30 a.m. - midnight

 

Friday-Saturday

6:30 a.m. - 2:00 a.m.

 

Summer Hours of Operation

6:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m. daily
