Fishing at Skyway Fishing Pier State Park

Saint Petersburg is home to a very unique and cool fishing spot in the shadow of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which spans Tampa Bay. When the Sunshine Skyway was built in the mid-1980’s, the old bay bridge was left in place and quickly became popular with local anglers. It is now considered the world’s longest fishing pier and gives fishermen unrestricted access to the deeper bay waters. What’s better still is that you can drive your car right up to your favorite fishing spot, pretty neat!
