This lovely waterfront park is located at the site of the first railroad pier in St. Petersburg, built by Peter Demens in 1889.  It is a short walk from downtown St. Pete. It features picnic areas, a great view of Tampa Bay, a boat ramp, and marinas that surround three sides of the island (and available restrooms also). It is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon.  1st Ave. S dead ends into Demens Park after crossing Bayshore Drive.
