In her ongoing effort to improve health care outcomes, Senator Janet Nguyen is pleased to invite the community to the 9th Annual Central County Health Expo. The event will be hosted on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 8am to 1pm at Concorde College in Garden Grove and will offer free comprehensive medical, dental and vision care on a first-come, first-served basis. Services at this event are limited and participants are encouraged to arrive early.
“Despite the passage of time and the availability of more community health fairs, the Central County Health Expo is unmatched in the level of quality, compassion and comprehensive care that attendees receive,” said Senator Janet Nguyen. “On par with our level of service, we pride ourselves in making sure that attendees walk away with a health care home where they can address their ongoing medical needs. This Health Expo may last one day but our commitment to the health of our residents is ongoing.”
The Health Expo is made possible thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Central County Foundation, Illumination Foundation, Lestonnac Free Clinic, Serve the People, Concorde College and Coastline College and hundreds of volunteers. With their support, the 9th Annual Central County Health Expo will feature free dental services (fillings, extractions and cleanings), medical services (physician examinations, prescriptions, lab work and mammograms) and vision services (eye exams, prescription eyeglasses and non-prescription reading glasses).
“An event of this magnitude and scope is the product of hundreds of hours of hard work from dedicated organizations and volunteers who give of themselves to serve others,” said Senator Janet Nguyen. “Their compassionate devotion to the community is truly inspiring and I hope residents take the opportunity to see these hard working community heroes at work.”
In addition to hosting annual Health Expos, Senator Nguyen serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and has been a vocal advocate for access to quality health care. Since 2010, more than 10,000 residents have been served through her efforts at the Central County Health Expo.
